Big Question....how do we find Harmony and Peace? Overcoming is the key theme of this website. And its true for all of us that in order to grow in harmony and peace we have to overcome obstacles we encounter on the way. We have both interior trials; fears, and wrong beliefs; and the exterior trials of life: change, people, and life events, that we need to accept and seek to overcome and integrate, or turn away from, in our lives. Yet when we have accepted over the years, that only with God's ways and Word, can we truly even start to overcome our challenges and traumas we still need to seek, knock and ask for God's ways. How do we LIVE in God's Spirit of love, truth, forgiveness, long suffering, compassion, integrity, humility, and total trust in the Father? How do we know God's Way for us? How does repentance help us move forward when it seems to just crucify us as we judge what we do again?
I don't know about you dear reader, but as I walk more closely with God's Love foremost in my desires, I discover failures to 'let go and let God', and I'm still trying to 'work it out' at some level. I forget He 'is everywhere present and filling all things' - He is the great I AM, and has promised to be my God, if I seek to be His child. Repentance leads us back dear reader to our true state....Not only am I repenting of my sins, and accepting the Cross of my life that made me powerless and without hope, but at the same time, like Christ, am become His beloved child, as, like Christ, I forgive all who have crucified me, and I commit my human spirit into the Father's Heart, Mind and Will. In this way I have 'died' and become His vessel to Love and serve according to what He has put in me.
In our 'humanness' and desire to have some control the only way we can yield to the enormity of this Love is to believe that whatever God wants for us, is already alive in us, but almost certainly not in the mind. So we need to 'descend' into the heart, and be willing to learn to listen into the silence of the deep heart and hear what is being told us there. In this listening is love and life, Hope, and suffering, for the sins of the world..our own and those we pray for. In this pain and loss, we will find a sacrifice of praise which lifts us to the grace and purity of heart of God. Do you see dear reader this is so other than living for pleasure, or gain. It unites life, love, suffering and praise. It enables us to have direct contact with the living God of Heaven, which you find in your Heart just as Jesus said. But to gain this access to the Heart we need to be willing to descend into hell, face our pains, and forgive and bless our enemies so we can become purified and powerless!!
In finding the harmony of Heaven where all are praising God and led by Him, we find peace because all elements of our being are looking to God, and through the Holy Spirit have unity of purpose, in Love. All seek to serve the other and we live the mystery of heavenly union here on earth. And as St Paul says when we carry that Peace in us, we will attract others to us because through our Purity of Heart, and selflessness, they too may find God's love for them.
