The Journey of Faith, Hope and Love
Christ Makes All Things New
Welcome - wherever you are on your journey of faith.
An Introduction to the content and purpose of this page... you are invited increasingly to Love God with all you are because He 'first loved you'. All those of us who have suffered neglect and abuse as children or abandonment by those who we expected to be loved and cared by, may find that they are struggling to either receive or believe in God's Love, or to be willing to do His Will. On these pages - we acknowledge this loss of Good Will so please be open to God about your feelings. He knows all your difficulties.
Firstly, God knows the state of your heart, and Secondly, once we realise our rebellion, fear, lack of trust, we can begin to pray that He help us and heal us - even with the prayer, 'Lord I believe, Help Thou my unbelief,' or the prayer, 'I am willing to be willing, to be willing (x 'n' to make the prayer honest) to do your will.
I could fill a book with the ways He built me in love, and even carried me for Him through my working life! But when I needed to face my 'inner being' and the trials of my childhood, I needed to face my pains and losses, but only WITH active faith in Christ. To 'grow' in faith and love, we need to own the darkness and surrender it in order to welcome the Light, Love, Hope, Truth, Compassion. This restores us in LIFE in Christ. Forgiveness and Hope replace bitterness, anger, selfishness and despair...... Knowledge of the Love and Wisdom of God replace despair, death and hopelessness.
All this has two roots - One the Love of God that passes all understanding; and Two - our Will! Jesus says to some people who came to Him, 'Do you want to be healed?'
Without our will to allow Him in to our locked doors, He can do nothing...because He wants us to Love Him with our 'free-will.' All we need to do day by day - is say 'Lord I need you - I give you my will for today and give you free entry to purify and heal me, direct and enable me, to live for You.' And He will- and does.
A summary of the 'LIFE' of this page: Translating 'words' into Life, Hope - in fact 'Faith, hope and Love'
Christ Makes All Things New
The journey of faith, hope and love is not about becoming a better version of ourselves by our own effort. It is about allowing Christ to make all things new.
- Faith — learning to trust God, even when we cannot yet see where the journey is leading.
- Hope — discovering that darkness, loss and brokenness do not have the final word. God is always at work, bringing new Light and life... so we hope and trust in things not seen.
- Love — receiving God’s love and allowing that love to reshape how we see ourselves, God and one another.
- Surrender — letting go of our need to control the outcome and learning to place our lives into God’s hands.
- Christ makes all things new — the transformation is God’s work in us. We are invited to participate by trusting, listening and responding to the Holy Spirit.
- The journey is ongoing — there is no need to have everything worked out. We can take the next step in faith, knowing that Christ is with us.
- The invitation — to bring our real lives into the presence of God: the places of joy, pain, fear, hope and longing. Nothing is outside His reach.
This is a journey from merely knowing about God to discovering, in the reality of our own lives, that Christ is making all things new and God the Father holds us in the 'palm of His hand'.
In this reflection we continue to explore the journey of faith, hope and love — not as something we achieve by our own strength, but as a life being remade in Christ.
There are places where we may feel lost, wounded, uncertain or simply unable to see the way ahead.
Yet Christ meets us there.
He does not ask us to have everything sorted before we come to Him. He invites us to trust Him, to listen, and to discover that His Love is already at work.

Christ Makes All Things New - Zoom meetings for questions and open-ness to learn and grow in Love.....
Below is a clip from the Zoom meeting of Friday 11th September, 2026 -
This clip is focussed on the Jesus Prayer : 'Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me/us.' Repeated while listening in your heart - till peace is restored or for a set period of time.
A SUMMARY OF THE WHOLE MEETING IS PASTED BELOW THE CLIP.
The Whole Video in a Nutshell.
This is the summary of the ways we can be helped to Love God and be loved by God mentiioned in the Zoom Meeting:
Key Outcomes
The session focused on the spiritual journey of overcoming pain and going through "the dark night of the soul" through trust in Christ and the practice of surrender .
Participants were encouraged to use specific prayer tools and physiological shifts to move from a state of "fight or flight" to a state of openness, trust and healing.
Spiritual Guidance and Principles
The Power of Surrender
Healing begins with surrender. We cannot produce perfect patience, love or peace by our own strength. As we surrender our self-will to God, moment by moment, the Holy Spirit helps us become present to what is happening within us and opens our hearts to receive His Grace and Love.
Overcoming Trauma
Trauma can damage our capacity to choose what is good. The simple prayer “willing to be willing” can help us turn again towards God — one step, one day at a time.
Perspective on Pain
Pain needs to be acknowledged rather than avoided or replaced with substitutes. As we bring our pain honestly to God, we can also pray for others who suffer, becoming open to healing, forgiveness and the grace to receive prayer ourselves.
Non-Judgement
Remembering our own dependence upon God's grace helps us to look upon others with mercy rather than judgement. None of us stands by our own goodness.
Practical Tools for Healing
Praise and Thanksgiving
Praise, thanksgiving and singing can help us move from a state of fear and tension towards a place of receiving, releasing and trusting God. These simple acts can help restore a sense of agency rather than helplessness.
Physical Anchors
A holding cross or the wearing of a cross can provide a tangible reminder of Christ's presence and authority, and a place to bring our burdens.
The Jesus Prayer
The Jesus Prayer can be used to turn our hearts towards Christ, particularly in tense or vulnerable situations.
Scriptural Study
Habakkuk and Job offer companionship in bleak or desert seasons, when life seems unfruitful.
“Yet I will trust in the God of my Salvation.”
Individual Support and Intercession
G shared that he had recently lost his job; the group committed to praying for his guidance and strength.
M.L shared her exhaustion and lack of strength. She was encouraged to open her heart to receive grace to pray for others, even when she felt unable to move.
Our Response
All: Pray for one another.
Participants: Practise the “helmet of hope” and enter God's presence through praise and thanksgiving.
Come and continue the conversation
Week 2: Friday 18th September How does Christ enable us to make all things new in these troubled times?
18 September — Seeing Our Trials Through Christ
A heavenly perspective
We reflected on how Christ changes the way we see our trials. Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 6:1–10 remind us that we can be “sorrowful, yet always rejoicing” — having little outwardly, yet possessing everything in Christ.
Forgiveness brings freedom
Forgiveness is not about denying what has happened. It releases us from being bound by it and opens the way for Christ’s healing.
Praise changes our perspective
We explored how praise can help us find a different frame when life feels overwhelming — turning our eyes back towards God.
Prayer becomes a channel of love
We considered prayer not simply as something we do, but as a way of allowing God’s love and life to flow through us — into the lives of others and into the situations we bring before Him.
Living it out
The meeting led to practical commitments around prayer, healing and intercession, including a shared daily prayer rhythm. We committed to pray for everyone on the call at the equivalent to Noon BST.
Come and join the journey.
WEEK 3 Journey of Faith, Hope and Love —
Christ Makes All Things New - even in the 'Dark Night of the soul'.....
When trials and difficulties come, old wounds can rise again and we may lose sight of who we are in Christ because 'the cares of the world, flesh and the devil' take over.
How do we continue to live in Faith, Hope and Love?
Tonight we will reflect together on Wisdom and Truth — and on learning to stand in Christ, trusting the Father and listening for the leading of the Holy Spirit.
25 September — Wisdom and Truth - Zoom Meeting Summary:
Christ in us
We continued exploring what it means for Christ to make all things new — not simply changing our circumstances, but transforming us from within through the Holy Spirit.
Letting go of what weighs us down
We considered how trials and old wounds can leave us disorientated. The invitation is to bring them to Christ rather than allowing them to define who we are. In practice 'invite His deeper in to your Heart.' Jesus tells us: 'I stand at the door and knock'.
Wisdom and Truth
We reflected on learning to recognise what is True — about God and His Provision, about ourselves and about our circumstances — and to let His wisdom guide us in 'Spirit and in Truth'.
Standing in Christ
Faith, Hope and Love become more than ideas when we choose to stand in Christ, ('Put 'On' Christ) trusting the Father's actions and listening for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Christ makes all things new
The journey is not about pretending that suffering has not happened. It is about allowing Christ to meet us within it and transform it with us - willing always to 'do Your Will' Lord.
You are warmly welcome.

If you have appreciated these Zoom meetings and reflections on Living with and for Christ, you are warmly invited to continue the journey with us.......
In A Pathway to the Love of God, we will explore the Love and Holiness of God yet His amazing Mercy through Christ and the Holy Spirit. ....and our response to His Love longing for us to be aligned with Him as we surrender our burdens, pains and losses to Him.
