Are we willing to come out of denial of Who we live for? Do we believe He will guide us and lead us for His purposes? Are we willing to say 'Yes'?
Dear Reader, how are you with change? I don't know about you, but I would choose big banners in the sky, or clear revelation from at least three people, or a sense of absolute certainty within, when I feel a change is in the wind. Sometimes it has been like that, at least partially, and I have been led, for example, to a new place, by the clear invitation from another, coming in response to prayer and need. But its never exactly the same. And God rebuked Moses, when Moses expected God to act as He had before.
As a child I lived great trauma, and the trials of the last few years have made me more conscious of the effect of all this on my thinking, and I've had to consciously battle against it. But now I find God doing something new! I, at least subconsciously, was afraid that if I make a mistake, or upset other people, God wouldn't be with me. I now know this is a lie, which evil wants me believe, but as St Paul says, 'Nothing can separate us from the Love of God through Christ Jesus.' I realise, that in His Love, God wants me to TRUST this truth! Wow!! Dear Reader truly, God's Love and Spirit is with us'.
So I am learning to 'hear' and 'see', the waves creating happenings both in practice, (visits to family (blood and church) in Scotland), and in my inner being as I feel increasingly 'separated' from where I am after 7 years of commitment! I have peace in my heart as these things unfold, and traumatic thinking is purified and released to allow the Love of God to re-enfold me in His Truth and Grace.
I see how I took on 'false gods' for a time...maybe a learning experience so I could help others avoid it. I need to take note of the mis-givings I had. I now need to open my heart door completely to the Mystery of 'Living and Moving and having my being in Him'. In all things we need to trust in God, and trust that in all things He will provide.
So dear reader, listen to thoughts that occur to you that ring 'True' deep in your being, even if they don't seem to make sense with what you thought you were committed to do. Listen to the ways the Holy Spirit is guiding you; take note of any Bible verse that leaps out of the page, or keeps coming into your heart. Say as Samuel said to the Lord, 'Lord I am listening', and give Him time to speak to you by surrendering your will, and time, and open your heart to new dimensions in your life and say, 'Your Will be done Lord'.
Dear Lord, You make all things new. Help us to trust the 'new' rising out of ashes. Strengthen us to follow You and Your Life, through the Holy Spirit, even unto 'grey hairs', knowing You will never leave us or forsake us. May Your Name be our Strength, to the praise and glory of God the Father. Amen
