We all have ‘burdens’ that weigh us down, we do not want, but they keep popping up to trip us up and take our peace! We can keep putting them on one side, hide them under the carpet, or shut them in an internal cupboard! But in the end we need to honour the Truth of who we are and face these things so that they can be transformed in and through Christ. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Anything that blocks these things will feel like a burden because it separates us from our truth, from God and from others.
These workshops will be following on this theme and enabling participants to recognise and address the burdens they are carrying in different areas of their lives. A Zoom app or connection will be needed, and each participant will be sent the link. Each workshop will have:
- A prayer and or poem that will be emailed to participants and needs to be printed out for use during the session –
- a prayer and brief introduction to the theme of the session –
- a task of reflection for which each person will need a note book and pen/pencil – (preferable to a computer) – enabling the individual to identify their own burdens and questions – the past emerging, or current difficulty?
- Feedback and seeking to help participants identify the Truth and Life …
- Application of insights /discernment to the individual’s situation – What am I taking from these reflections?
- Feedback and final summing up and prayer for the ongoing spiritual task during the coming week.

May we all grow in grace and understanding as we allow the Holy Spirit to shine into our half-heartedness and ‘everydayness’ that we may become ‘lamps shining in darkness’, particularly at this time when so many are touched by the dis-ease of this Covid threatened time.
God bless and keep you.
